Let’s be honest. There is no such thing as truly perfect. One of the many lessons I have learned in my work as a medium.
Working with spirit, the Universe, your guides, your intuition; it’s a lifelong study that takes commitment to develop and enhance our connection and understanding of energy.
As a medium, I am always working to enhance my connection with spirit, become a better communicator, and bring in more substantial evidence each time I get on stage or in a session; my goal is to serve spirit to the best of my ability.
It matters not if you are a working psychic, intuitive, medium, healing therapist. The development of your spiritual awareness is a constant practice. The more your work your intuitive muscles, the stronger they get.
Here are some suggestions for the ongoing development of your abilities.
Spiritual Practice Circles
These are one of the best ways are to sit and work with others to develop your intuitive, mediumistic, and healing abilities. And a tradition as old as connecting with spirit itself. Your development needs to find a circle or participate in different activities to enhance your abilities.
Practice Circles are groups of developing spiritual souls who sit together regularly in support of their spiritual development. And they are happening everywhere! From metaphysical shops, spiritual learning centers, online practice circles, all you need to do is seek them!
A good practice circle will have an excellent teacher with experience to share and exercises for your development. These circles are a great way to push your practice to the next level!
Sometimes the hard part for many of you is stepping out of your comfort zone, and in a healthy-minded circle, you can find yourself among like-minded folks who want to support your development.
Study from the Masters
Taking workshops in alignment with your heart’s calling is important, and study with teachers who resonate with you. I am always taking time to learn new things from teachers who inspire me in my ongoing development.
I like to push myself out of my comfort zone and explore more than just mediumship development. In my case, this is one of my foundations, so I will explore other aspects of intuitive and psychic development to keep pushing my awareness. Sometimes I will dive into a healing modality and explore energy awareness, and there is so much to learn. Explore it all with an open but discerning mind.
Get Educated!
I started as a self-taught medium in the beginning. My first introduction to mediumship was watching the now-infamous show, Crossing Over with John Edward. Truly a mediumship TV Classic, and we thank John for being a pioneer in this aspect.
After a few years of floundering as a medium, I discovered a whole world out there to explore! And who knew BOOKS to read. Some of them dating back to the early 1900s. I was mind-blown. So I took time to study and learn more about the history of mediumship and spirituality in all aspects.
There is so much to read and explore; it is essential to get out from behind the books (for those who have ready everything) and put that knowledge into practice. So, in this case, getting into a practice circle can be helpful.
I’ve met people along my journey as a teacher who has read many books but is nervous to try! Put that knowledge to work and turn it into wisdom! Oh, and you might change your life and your perspective.
Find your Spiritual Foundation
Yes, we all need a spiritual foundation. A foundation will provide the basic knowledge of how the Universe works, how we fit into the scheme of things as a baseline to our spiritual life. Being an intuitive, medium, energy worker is not just a job. It is who we are.
It would help if you had supportive spiritual beliefs and foundations to the basics of spirit and energy to understand how to work with your abilities. These foundations will also help you find your meditation practice, spiritual development, and basic soul unfoldment.
You can explore many avenues, including some foundation basics, such as the 4 Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. If you haven’t read it, I guarantee you have it on your bookshelf, so pull it down and dust it off. It is a great easy read. or a Course in Miracles, to name a few examples.
And if you know me, then you know I am all about your spiritual evolution; get to know your spiritual foundation with an open heart and mind, and allow your awareness to expand and grow as you develop. To get stuck in your beliefs and do not allow them to evolve is like going nowhere.
In developing your awareness, your open heart and mind will allow you to grow and become someone you could not have even imagined or dared to dream.
Let me tell you that I am living and life that I did not think possible and as I continue to grown and develop, so do my dreams and the way I live my life!
